The bioCEED-led proposal "Developing-evidence based mentoring for better STEM work placements (DEVELOP)" was awarded funding by HK-dir in the fall of 2021. Congratulations! Iver Martens, who is the leader of iEarth Focus Area 5 and project leader of GeoIntern, is a project collaborator.
DEVELOP is a three-year program involving collaborators from the Institute of Marine Research, NORCE, the Universities of Bergen, Oslo and Tromsø, and two Centres for Excellence in Education — iEarth and bioCEED. The project will be coordinated by bioCEED and led by Centre Director Sehoya Cotner.
The project will focus on work placement hosts and new ways to ensure relevance and employability for students in the discipline subjects.
"We are excited to get started along with an excellent team of partners in 2022!"
- Iver Martens
