The 22nd of May the Geopraksis course (GEOV298) at the University of Bergen had their final dissemination and exam for the course.
The course was run by PhD candidate Jarle B. Sleire (as part of his 25 % teaching duties) and in discussion with the students, they chose to have the final exam as a presentation. Other work requirements are a job application, reflection notes after the 1st week in their internship, as well as a blog post for the whole internship (total 3 weeks).
Each year, we are geniunely impressed by the breadth of experiences our students gain during their internships. The exposure to real-world challenges, cutting-edge equipment, and advanced methodologies they encounter outside the university environment is truly remarkable!
We would very much like to express our gratitude towards all the companies that are part of Geopraksis and give our students highly relevant work-life experience, network and an idea of what the businesses do in a day-to-day basis.
There are a total of 13 businesses involved in this years run of geopraksis at UiB. The following companies are:
Multiconsult
